On Wednesday 1st June 2016 Keighley astronomical society held a rocket building afternoon at Bracken Hall, Baildon, as part of the friends of Bracken Hall weekly summer programme of events called ‘Wild Wednesday’.
The children learned about the exploration of the solar system and how rockets are constructed.
They constructed their own paper rocket and finally tested their designs with a launch. Prizes where given to the student who’s rockets travelled the furthest, and for the best designed rocket.
