About Keighley Astronomical Society

The Keighley Astronomical Society (KAS) was established in September 2011. To promote the study of Astronomy and related fields. Members come from all walks of life. We share a common passion for Science, Astronomy and Space exploration. We are committed to the promotion and education of these subjects to the wider community in Keighley and beyond. Membership is open to anyone. We offer a full programme of monthly meetings covering what can be observed during the coming month in the night sky. A study of the solar system, Galaxies and the universe, from guest speakers and society officers. All backed up with audio visual presentations.  We issue via E-mail a monthly newsletter, and access to a dark sky observing site run by or friends at Raygill Astronomy club, and much more.

Our entrance fee is very reasonable, there is no annual fee, just £3.50 per head on the door for each meeting you attend. There are reduced rates of £1 per head for under 17 year olds, full time students and unemployed.
