Keighley astronomical society away day. The family orientated events at this years Arts Trail festival were themed as ‘Fly me to the Moon’. Events included ‘Grow an alien brain’, Build a Space Station Den’, and of course building your own rocket and lauching it into space. Keighley Astronomy society contribution was called ‘Blast off’. Society officer Samantha Hodgson, Jonathan Rushworth and Paul Neaves assisted the participants in the construction and launching paper made rockets using a compressed air footpump. Great fun!!
