Guest speaker Dr Mike Evans, from the School of mathematics, Leeds University spoke on the Light speed barrier, and why it can not be broken. He also travelled with members to Raygill Astronomy club for a spot of observing on a lovely clear night. We hope he will return again in the next season.

A full society meeting saw the presentation by Mr Paul Kabrna from the Craven and Pendle geological Society. His presentation on the ‘Dynamic earth’ was enjoyed by all. He took several questions from society members after his talk, and will be back with us in February 2014.
