Sunday 18th October 2015. The 17th century title barn at the national trust property of East Riddlesden Hall was setting for the Astrofestival. Organised by Bradford Astronomical Society and supported by Astronomical societies across West Yorkshire. Keighley Astronomical Society kicked off the days events at 12.30pm with a rocket workshop involving a group of local boy scouts. Each student took the opportunity to launch their rocket, after construction and design.

The afternoon continued with presentations by Astronomer Rod Hine, Dr Mike Evans from the university of Leeds and Andrew Lound BA.

Although the day was dry. The skies were cloudy and the opportunity to observe the stars eluded us
