On Monday 16th February 2015. Society member Jerry Davies paid a visit to the National Space Centre in Leicester. It is one of the countries leading visitor attractions, and is devoted to space science and astronomy. The Centre has on display one of the only known Soyuz spacecraft in Western Europe. The centre also has a Disistar3 dome cinema and planetarium. The restaurant is situated beneath the two nozzles of the British Blue Streak and the US Thor rockets. “ I spent three hours there. It was very busy as it was during the half term school holidays. It was Just about worth the £13, and the ticket gains you entry for one year”.
