Saturday 23rd January 2016, with ‘Bradford astronomical society’, and the ‘Friends of Bracken Hall’ we took part in a fun afternoon of rocket making and space exploration. The location was the ‘Old Glen House’ Prod Lane Baildon. Local Space cadets made planispheres, learned about the Solar system and the universe beyond. They also took part in a rocket construction class. Each rocket was tested with a launch.
As the evening drew in, we were joined by Bradford Astronomy society and their telescopes. However the weather turned wet. Road Hine from Bradford AS gave an explanation of telescopes and the different qualities each, backed up with DVD presentations.
